-NORPAC gives the _seaQuest_ to the newly-formed UEO. It's crew includes young Lucas Wolenczak, whose father, as one of the major contributors, pulled strings to get his son aboard.

-the _seaQuest 4600_ is destroyed with no loss of life. It is sacrificed by it's Commanding Officer, Captain Nathan Hale Bridger, to prevent the world's ice-caps from melting thanks to a disaster caused by Dr. Wolenczak, Lucas Wolenczak's father.
